John Graves, Ph.D.
John received his Ph.D. from Scripps Institution of Oceanography in 1981. He is currently studying molecular evolution and post-release survival of tunas and marlins, and is heavily involved in the international management of these highly migratory species.

Barbara received her Ph.D. from Duke University and is currently focused on how large pelagic fish utilize the open ocean environment. She is considered a leading scientific authority on understanding the evolution of endothermic strategies in tunas, billfish and sharks.

John is an avid fly fisherman and has spent countless hours flats fishing throughout the Bahamas. His family owns and operates Walkers Cay, a world famous fishing resort in northern Abacos. A graduate of Fordham University with an MBA Degree, John is the President of Precision Valve Corp. Currently serves as Treasurer and Board Member for The Billfish Foundation.
